Very few places in Virginia are as beautiful as the Shenandoah Valley. And we’ve planned some thrilling, yet safe excursions for your student with Outdoor Adventure Experiences. Traveling in twelve and thirteen foot white water rafts which are nearly impossible to flip and are still very easy to steer, groups of 5 students and a guide will tackle the Shenandoah’s rivers.
Of course, the students will be perfectly safe as each participant will be required to wear a life jacket and water saftey helmet at all times while we are on the river. We’ll also be equipped with dry bags, first aid kits, and bathroom kits.
Our river rafting excursion will also feature a rope swing stop. In the event that weather does not permit us to river raft, we will spend the afternoon exploring one of the region’s many wild caves. Students will learn about cave formation, preservation, exploration, and ecology. Participants will be provided with coveralls, helmets with lights, and a shoulder pack to carry other gear if needed. A bathroom emergency kit and first aid kit will be carried by the group as well.
