About TeachersBox

TEACHERSBOX LLC is an educational consulting practice that helps public, private, and home school instructional leaders infuse research based strategies into every learning environment. Our practice is providing administrators with crisis management techniques, software to disaggregate achievement data, web collaboration tools to streamline the SACS Accreditation process, training to implement brain-based differentiated instruction, and resources to ease the high school and college transition.  So whether you’re a K-12 educator looking for professional development options for recertification points or a parent seeking to improve your child’s academic development, browse our site for ways we can serve your needs.  We’d love to help youOptimize Student Achievement, One Child at A Time.

Chalk on BoardWe’re currently serving undergraduates at the The College of William & Mary, the University of RichmondVirginia TechLiberty UniversityValley Forge Christian CollegeVirginia Commonwealth University, and Cedarville University, as well as over one hundred K-12 clients throughout Hampton Roads, from New Kent to Virginia Beach.  We train parents to create effective learning environments through positive behavior intervention strategies and provide guardians with valuable information about summer enrichment opportunities. TeachersBox also coaches parents through the college application process; demystifies special education laws, processes, and practices; and equips them with savings, investment, scholarship, and military options to finance their child’s education.

Through partnerships with undergraduates at the William & Mary and the Omega Institute at Huntington Middle School, we prepare pre-teens in Williamsburg and Newport News to organize for success, train them to build rapport with teachers and mentors, encourage them to enroll in rigorous courses, and provide them with test-taking strategies proven to increase achievement and combat test anxiety. We orient underclassman to the increased rigor of secondary school and coach them to secure leadership positions in their chosen clubs and sports. And we train students to engage in volunteer efforts that demonstrate a sustained commitment over time rather than simply becoming “joiners.”

Arguably our most important work, however, is walking high school students through the college application, scholarship, and financial aid process.

Our partnership with the University of Richmond’s School of Continuing Studies (SCS) is currently enrolling students for its fall course offerings.
